My name is Bobbie May Corleys. I am a BA first-class honours graduate from The University of Greenwich. Moreover, I am an English Teacher and Writer in all sense of the word; I pride myself on being both an academic and a creative.

 

I like to keep myself busy with different projects when I'm not teaching, and this blog is one of my many passions. I also create videos on YouTube and work on my own poetry, novels, short stories, stage plays, screenplays, research papers, and reviews. There is nothing more electric than the glide of ink from pen to paper, or the magnetic pull and hypnotic state of frantic fingers on a keyboard.

Stories have always been a big part of my life. I love countless TV shows, films, books, plays and musicals that there seemed no other route for me in life than to create stories myself. I too love learning and believe that the pursuit of knowledge is one we should continually and constantly strive for. I never want to lose my thirst for knowledge, my infinite curiosity, and the ability to create worlds of wonder with language. To learn, teach, write, create, and inspire, is all I could ever hope for in this life.

The aim for this blog is to get my name out there, share aspects of my life and experiences, hone my writing muscle, share advice and tips, and expand on my thoughts. This will also serve as a reflective starting point of my writing career, and hopefully, become a warm and comforting place for others to visit online.

The dream is to get my creations and art out in the world, and for others to fall in love with my words and my stories.  I want to be to others what my favourite writers have been to me, a home. Storytelling, books, creativity, art, theatre, and knowledge have always been my biggest passions in life and all I have ever wanted to be involved in. I hope you'll come along on the journey with me.
