No tips and tricks in this blog post. This works simply as an introduction to my next three posts which will cover the aforementioned topics.
To clarify and expand...
The first will be on how I visualise my projects to get them out of my head and into something tangible. From getting initial ideas scribbled down in an organised place, to creating mind maps on-page and/or on-screen. It aids in working out my progress, where I am, what I have to do and what I may be in the middle of doing. I am able to keep on track with the multiple projects I'm tackling at a time while igniting my creativity in its creation.
The second will be on how I use my bullet journal to create weekly spreads. With a focus on their image, where the motivation comes from to follow them, and how I organise my time each day throughout the week using these spreads. I will also dabble on explaining how this creativity inspires me to follow through with them, and how you must find your niche that will excite you to create your own and keep on track with it.
The third will be about my University life. How I separate modules, how I use folders, notebooks and my laptop across modules, how I keep everything organised and keep on track of my workload, and the prep work I do before the year begins. For me, I have four modules, separated by my two-course titles. Two creative writing modules, and two English literature modules, So it's crucial for me to make sure I'm on top of everything and that nothing ever gets muddled up, deadlines are met, work is caught up on etc.
Throughout the posts, I will show examples of what I've created. All my work is fuelled by creativity, I start with these projects as one spark ignites another, and soon enough I'm basking in the most beautiful fire of my artistic passions- writing, drawing and crafts. Anything to do with colours, washi tape, patterns, A3/4 card/coloured paper, bullet journaling, watercolour, materials, anything and everything that I can use to create, I'm excited right away and ready to explore ideas. Creativity in the forms I will share with you are brilliant, and really helps me to focus my attention on work (whether Uni or personal) and get my creative juices flowing in other forms.
I've included a few snippets under this post of the examples in the three blog posts that will follow. So for any of you who are fuelled/motivated/inspired by creativity, work in a creative profession (or creating is your hobby), or simply need a way to keep track of student/work life, I hope you will find plenty of inspiration, tips, tricks and helpful advice in the blog posts to come.
